About Arnold
Arnold figured out how the farm worked before he was old enough to do any of the work. He watched, he listened, and he remembered everything. Now he's the one the others come to when something breaks, something goes missing, or something doesn't make sense. He can calculate how many bales of hay fit in the barn just by looking at it. He once solved a problem with the water pump that had stumped Farmer Brown for a week — in about four minutes. Arnold doesn't brag about it. He doesn't need to. Everyone already knows. The only thing that trips him up is when the answer turns out to be something that can't be figured out — like why Buster keeps doing cartwheels near the hay stack.
