Nobody remembers exactly when Rainbow arrived at The Farm. One morning she simply wasn't there, and the next morning she was — perched on the old fence post by the gate, singing a song nobody had ever heard before. Farmer Brown offered her a place to stay. She's been singing ever since. Rainbow has a song for every mood, every season, and every occasion. A slow, gentle one for rainy afternoons. A bright, bouncing one for harvest time. A soft, quiet one she sings to the younger animals when they can't sleep. Her feathers catch the light like stained glass, and when she flies across the fields, it looks like a piece of the sky broke off and decided to stay.
